Theo Paphitis – the successful entrepreneur and business mogul from BBC’s Dragons’ Den – also runs a weekly Twitter competition called Small Business Sunday (#SBS). Businesses up and down the country tweet him about their products and services and Theo chooses six of the best the following Monday to join his club of #SBS Winners.
On October 26th 2020, I tweeted: “ Hello Theo, I'm a small business that makes beautiful scented candles & wax melts. I also make handcrafted soaps, which are kinder to your skin then most big named brands. Whether I win #SBS or not I will continue to do what I love, so thank you for the opportunity to be noticed."
The next day at 8pm we found out we were SBS Winners when Theo tweeted: “Congratulations to this week’s #SBS winners @KitchenWitch17
Since winning, my social media numbers have rocketed, boosting my profile and I’ve made some incredible friends with fellow businesses around the country.
Best of all, we’re now endorsed personally by Theo Paphitis himself!
This is another of my special awards I have won since the start of my business. To be know as Queen Of Handmade Candles is so exciting and I am humbled to be crowned Queen!
This recognition makes me so proud, as I have worked hard behind the scenes to try and grow my business and blossom more.
On may 28th 2020, I tweeted: “
@ADG_IQ I create handmade candles, wax melts, giftsets and soaps. Nothing is mass produced and everything I make is made to order #QueenOf #FemaleEntrepreneur #WomeninBusiness #RoyalConnection
I am honoured to win the title of "#QueenOf" and subsequently became a member of "The Royal Connection" network
